Hiya, I just wondered if anyone had any tips for staying positive and carry on after a negative test result.

I’m so sorry. Let yourself be sad, cocoon yourself for a day or two. Do whatever feels right for your mind & body, & don’t feel guilty about it. Sometimes I felt like getting out in the countryside & walking forever, other times I just want to crawl under the duvet & binge watch crap tv, there were times I wanted to scream, shout & cry about the unfairness of it all. It’s important to let yourself grieve. I did some counselling which I found really helpful. Never give up hope, keep your dream alive in your mind & one day you’ll get there. When you are ready jump back on this crazy roller coaster of a ride! Big hugs to you my lovely. Xx

I’m so sorry you are going through this, I’ve also just had a negative result. Still trying to get my head around it.

Take one day at a time, cry, scream get the emotion out of your system xx

So sorry to hear this, it’s such a tough journey. I agree with Jengi let yourself be sad and do what you need to do, be kind to yourself and definitely don’t feel guilty. It will pass and you’ll find the strength for the next chapter but it’s important to give yourself time and process the emotions. Take care xx

Accept how you feel, and understand it’s normal. Fill your time with doing things you enjoy, and be kind to yourself. It isn’t your fault, you did nothing wrong!

Oh I’m so sorry to read this. However you feel is normal and don’t try to cover it up.

My OTD is on Friday and someone suggested I write a list of nice things to do if the test is negative (and one of it’s positive). I’m writing that now. So far there’s a lot of booze on it! Thinking of you x

Sorry it didn’t work out this time 😢🤗 what works for me is thinking about ‘what’s next’ and starting to plan that. I also treat myself to some Prosecco and Go in the hot tub (both things I couldn’t have done if it was positive) As I desperately look for the silver lining in every cloud 🙈 the Important thing though Is to remember it is a loss of sorts and take some time to not be positive and deal with your feelings before you move on, that’s different for everyone and might just be a wee cry And a duvet day For some or could be longer/shorter for others 🤗 thinking of you xx

Awh so sorry to read this Lavedartea 😘💐💐💐💐😔 hope you’re being kind to yourself 😘

The only thing I can suggest is planning your next step and having a date in your diary. I found this helped focus my brain on the hope of the future . That and wine, gin, chocolate, crisps, Big Macs and funny things on Netflix. The rule breaking of caffeine and wine helps numb the sting for sure 😘💐💖
