It was my egg collection today. It really didnβt go as I expected! The big follicle on the left was absolutely empty π€¦π»ββοΈ but the smaller follicle on the right produced a mature egg which has now been ICSIβd successfully!! However the embryologist said it has a vacuole? Has anyone had success with this? π€·π»ββοΈ
Love and luck to you all β¨Xx

I have no clue about a vac thingy but just wanted to say hooray for the surviving egg ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»πππππππ hope youβre not in too much pain π
I have also been told that my eggs have vacuoles and it can mean poor egg quality, however they did say that the embryo can repair itself and the vacuoles can disappear and in that case it is fine. This happened to one of mine and it still made it to blastocyst, so try not to worry about it! Good luck π€!
Thanks so much for this. I didnβt ask last round if my eggs had them. It was only when I pushed for detail that she mentioned it. She did say there is a chance of it correcting itself. Fingers crossed. If you donβt mind me asking, did you freeze your blast or did you have it transferred? Thank you again ππ»xx
Same with me, they only told me because I asked, otherwise they wouldnβt have told me. I have stopped asking them now because it causes me too much stress! I froze my blast so I still donβt know if it is any good, but I asked the Dr about vacuoles too and he said itβs fine if they self-correct. Fingers crossed!
