Low AMH Cycle update: Egg collection today! 1 egg collected πŸŽ‰ Any experience with vacuoles??

Hello ladies!

It was my egg collection today. It really didn’t go as I expected! The big follicle on the left was absolutely empty πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ but the smaller follicle on the right produced a mature egg which has now been ICSI’d successfully!! However the embryologist said it has a vacuole? Has anyone had success with this? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Love and luck to you all ✨Xx

Thanks so much πŸ™πŸ» Yes it was good to hear it survived being injected. Let’s just hope it has fertilised 😬 Xx

No advice, but wanted to wish you β€œgood luck” & hope this is the only egg you’ll need ❀️ xxx

I have also been told that my eggs have vacuoles and it can mean poor egg quality, however they did say that the embryo can repair itself and the vacuoles can disappear and in that case it is fine. This happened to one of mine and it still made it to blastocyst, so try not to worry about it! Good luck 🀞!

Thanks so much for this. I didn’t ask last round if my eggs had them. It was only when I pushed for detail that she mentioned it. She did say there is a chance of it correcting itself. Fingers crossed. If you don’t mind me asking, did you freeze your blast or did you have it transferred? Thank you again πŸ™πŸ»xx

Same with me, they only told me because I asked, otherwise they wouldn’t have told me. I have stopped asking them now because it causes me too much stress! I froze my blast so I still don’t know if it is any good, but I asked the Dr about vacuoles too and he said it’s fine if they self-correct. Fingers crossed!
