Just to let everyone know, my GPS letter did the trick. I’ve been waiting for an appointment since November 2019! They’ve cancelled multiple times on me, then covid happened. I rang my GP, and he sent them a letter last week, and they phoned me today with a telephone appointment for Wednesday. Just goes to show. I could have waited around for months longer, but finally, we’re nearly at IVF. Just this final step then we’ll be referred.

Good to know your GP acted quickly. I was referred to NHS gyenocologist in September 2019 and she referred me to the fertility clinic. I had my initial appointment with the consultant in February 2020. Very disappointed experience. The consultant was quite rude, he just told me and my husband to change lifestyle and he would see us in 4 months time. With the Covid-19 my second appointment got cancelled and I finally received a telephone consultation on 12th June. It was a less than 1 minutes conversation. He said carry on with your diet and I shall see you somewhere mid August 😡.. me and my husband decided to go private... don’t have too much hope on NHS
It’s rubbish isn’t it. I was referred to nhs gynaecology about a year ago, after about 12 months of ttc after miscarriage. We’ve had two face to face appointments, the most recent November 2019. I was so frustrated waiting because I’ve done all the blood tests and HSG and everything. We’re just waiting on that final referral to ivf. Then we’re on the ivf waiting list!
