Its been a while since i have posted. Mt clinic have called and said i am good to go,they said i would need to do a covid screen before my 1st baseline scan. I don't know if this is because i work in a hospital and i am a nurse, but i work in a office. I am more then happy to do the test and worried at the same time.
Has anyone else got this advice?
Thanks

I work in the NHS and every patient coming in for a procedure other than scans has to be COVID swabbed 48 hours before they come into hospital. Anyone having major surgery may be asked to completely self isolate for 14 days before the op. This is supposed to be standard throughout the NHS in the next few weeks. Obviously anyone with symptoms should not come near the hospital.
i asked the clinic about this - they said it involved temperature being taken , questioniare, PPE, and various safety measures but no Clovid 19 test . i will ask them again - i am confused how it works with the test / turn around = e/g for me it takes 2 hours to drive to the clinic - would they test and get the result well a person waits ? xx
It's better to be safe than sorry. We are doing treatment in Czech Republic and need a negative test for border control too. I guess it would be worse to start treatment then have to stop if we got ill. There is an online company doing home testing kits if you can't get it done through the NHS. X
My clinic will post out a swab test to everyone (including partners) and there is a 48 hour turnaround period for the results. I am due to start on Monday but still waiting to receive the test in the post, so looks like I will have to wait another month now!
I am doing my treatment in a clinic in Spain and they also asked for a PCR test, before the transfer. In case of positive the treatment has to be cancelled. They shared this webpage for more info: medicaldevice-network.com/f...
I think the Covid screening is standard policy now in order for clinics to offer treatment. I'm not sure if it is an actual antigen/antibody test or a questionnaire and temperature like others have said...I guess we will have to wait. I think I had Covid in March...It would be good to know if I did and now have antibodies
Covid tests are pretty straightforward and not as bad as you have heard. I've had two as a patient in hospital. Swab up the nose, swab in the throat. Not pleasant but no biggie.
