Hi all
We are due to start our first round of IVF on my next cycle. We have been offered a couple of additional treatments, one of which is EmbryoGlue.
I was just wondering whether anyone has had experience with this?
Thanks
Hi all

hi
i didnt use it with my first fresh cycle and got my son (single embryo)
i did use it with second fresh cycle and im currently 14 weeks pregnant (with 1 baby - transferred 2 embryos)
hope this helps and all the best for your treatment
Hey, our first transfer didn’t take so I’m wondering what we can do for success for our 2nd transfer. Just worrying roughly how much adding on embryo glue costs? I’m in UK. Thanks in advance 💕
We opted for it for our second round of IVF and im currently 11 weeks pregnant.
My consultant was open and honest with us before hand that shes not a huge fan, doesnt think it makes any difference. But from my research it wasnt going to harm the embryo and even if it gave us an extra 1% chance i was going to take it!
I think we paid £120 and im glad we did. We paid for our second round which as you know isnt cheap so i just figured whats an extra £120 ontop of £7000 🤷🏻♀️ xx
Hi,I hope ur ok. We did our first ivf without the embryoglue and it didn’t take. On our appointment the doc mentioned it to us n we did another cycle with the glue n put back 2 embryos they both took
We wanted every chance for it to work. We also did the scratch aswell. I hope this helps
Embryo glue interests me too - my thoughts at this point is that it can't hurt, right? I'm not 100% sure on the endometrial scratch, though, worried about infection etc. Considering it! Also considering having 2 put back instead of 1 and moving to day 3 transfers so that I have more prospective embryos...
My first attempt I had the glue. Ended in mc. My second attempt I had the glue and the endo scratch and now 31 weeks pregnant. Xx
I have used glue every round - in four rounds I’ve had a total of 11 embryos transferred and one has stuck but we sadly MC. I would say it can’t hurt to use it but it isn’t always the miracle guarantee we all look for. Masses of luck xx
Hi we used it on our last round but unfortunately it didn’t help us at all no implantation - we were told by our clinic they can’t say one way or the other if it does help but they also said no evidence that it harms so we though for the sake of I think £150 we would try, I’m not convinced though I think If the embryo was going to implant it would anyway not sure I’d have the glue next time but we will see
Hiya,
How exciting that your starting soon!
We had 3 transfers, only used embryo glue on the third one, and now have a one year only baby girl from that transfer.
No idea if it works but I think if it’s gives you even a little bit extra hope/ peace of mind then it’s worth a shot 😊
Xx
Hi Noodles,
I used embryo glue which was £200 plus we also did PICSI on our first round of IVF and pleased to say the first round was successful and I’m currently coming up to 10 weeks tomorrow.
I don’t know if the glue made any difference but when you pay so much which we did we just thought why not, and what’s an additional £200.
I think from memory this was rated as Amber on the HEFA website so no conclusion evidence but also with so many different elements into IVF it would be difficult to say for definite if embryo glue was the reason mine worked. I did have 2 transferred but only one stuck so didn’t work for both.
Good luck with your next try
Regards
Charley
I would use it probably to have the feeling i did everything i could. It didnt work for us but would use it again next time. X
Our clinic does embryo glue as standard with all transfers so I guess they think it’s worth while! They don’t offer quite a few of the add ons as they don’t think they are worth while but this is one they do recommend x
Our fresh go we didn't use glue and got a bfp but had an early loss, the Dr didn't recommend it for a first go. Second go (frostie) we used it we got a bfp and I'm currently in hospital being induced 😊 We just thought £250 was a lot cheaper than paying for a new round of icsi as we only had one left in the freezer xxx
Hi. I didn't use it for my first FET which was bfn, but did for our second attempt and now 9 weeks pregnant. It cost £200 which wasn't much compared to the price of the transfer and drugs etc, so I was really keen to give it a go. Who knows if it helped, but I would definitely use it if we do ivf again in the future.
If you're thinking about it and would regret not trying it, then just go for it.
Xx
I didn't use it at my first attempt and it was Successful, my Son will be 2 years, did another circle last December it failed. And my doctor suggested embrayo glue which I aggreed on, am currently 18weeks gone.
