Feeling frustrated.

Hello, so I discovered that we have another failed attempt on April 6 and we have 3 embryos frozen from this cycle. We were so lucky to get the chance to have the transfer as the clinic shut the next day due to Covid-19. We have 3 embryos frosting nicely now but we are now like everyone else, on hold. Does anyone else just feel frustrated that we just don’t know when we can continue our treatment? I know we all have to stay safe from the horrible virus but I do have days where I just want to get going again. Am I being selfish??

I dont think you are being selfish at all - I think we all feel the same. If you were trying to look on the bright side I would say its great news you have some frozen as a lot of people have to do fresh cycles every time - and they are talking about maybe starting FET before fresh so you may get earlier treatment than a lot of people.

However this isn't necessarily the time for 'bright side' thinking. You will find a load of us on here with the same feelings, and pressures such as age or AMH challenges that would give anything to get going again. I have the challenge of my age and also the fact I have had a number of MC and the only thing that keeps me sane on my down days are trying again and feeling like IVF is 'doing' something.

I think its the lack of control. I think a lot of us are trying to channel that into getting our body in the best shape for when IVF does start again - but then again I am failing at that miserably and drinking far too much!

Sending you a hug, it is really hard, and its totally normal to feel how you are feeling, you are far from alone - it sucks xx

You are not been selfish at all. Of course almost everyone will feel same way. Pls use this period and make yourself happy. Exercise and eat good food, prepare your body and be happy. Every other thing will fall into place. You don't need the stress now. Don't forget to speak to God when you are not feeling down. It will all end in praise and you will be a mum soon. ✌️ ✌️ Hugs. Be happy!!!!

Hi LMGC. Yes, so many frustrations out there I'm afraid, but at least the clinics can apply to re-open from the 11th May, and although I can't say for certain, I think they will do a few "freeze all" FET's first. Hope you can soon get going again. Diane
