This covid-nightmare is rumbling on and impacting everything and everybody .
This morning I injected my Gonal-f 🙏🏻💥👍🏻✅as instructed by lovely Mary, the nurse who phoned me on her own mobile yesterday to reassure me that everything will be ok, it might not go the way I wish with daily changing guidelines , but a frozen cycle would be fine. 💐👍🏻🤷🏼♀️
I’ve decided amongst this mess of a very uncertain world and not just ivf cycle, that.... I’ll just do one day at a time , safe in the knowledge that my clinic will do their best for me.
If I get to embryos amazing 🎉and if I don’t , it just can’t be right now. 🤷🏼♀️😏
In my head I had imagined the perfect thing to do during social distancing ........ the 2ww 🤣....... alas, that will keep ..... 🤪 ( funny how quickly your mind can change to wanting the torture when you can’t have it 😂🤣😂🤣)
I’m glad I’ve over bought 🤣😂mindfulness colouring books , puzzle books and books over the past few months. I guess now I’m going to have time to read, colour and puzzle to my hearts content . 💕
Sorry to all of the ladies stuck in ivf limbo delay . Hopefully a few months will knock this thing down or at least allow the researchers to figure out the truth of covid and ivf etc. You have my hugs 🤗
Today, I will be grateful that my clinic have allowed me to continue stabbing with the Gonal f..... and enjoy it. 🧐🤨🧐🤨
May we all appreciate the good we have in our lives right now and find a way to breathe in this madness . I guess our generation are gonna see what we are made of .... crazy times! 🤷🏼♀️

It is such a worrying time, my heart goes out to all those whose cycles have been cancelled or who are fearing they may be cancelled any day. I suppose as one possible silver lining in all this craziness is that as a group, us IVF sisters will perhaps at least be well equipped to deal with whatever will be thrown at us because we have had to deal with a lot of shit & uncertainty in our journeys so far. Hi ladies, posting this from the tiny island of Bahrain where yes, Coronavirus is rife and we are all on lockdown.
I was searching the net looking for answers on how to reduce my massively painful and swollen tummy 4 days post egg retrieval... I’m new to this forum and reading everyone’s posts it’s all very upsetting and my heart goes out to everyone pre, mid and post ivf cycle.
Sitting here with my meditation music on, hot water bottle on tummy and cups full of water this positive post was lovely to read this, thank you Rhioncat.
You are welcome pet, such weird times we have all just found ourselves in . I hope with some gentle pain relief and increased fluids that your symptoms ease. Stay safe , I think lock down in the uk is a week away. People are being stupid and going out as normal . Since they’ve shut the schools, the kids are everywhere they should not be , 🙄 seems like we need a different kind of miracle than what this forum is about right now. May your heart lift and your eyes rest on the positive news out there.

Awesome to hear from you. I totally agree..must stay positive and protect ourselves if others aren’t. We’ve got stringent laws in place here to prevent gatherings other 5 people with hefty fines and prison sentence for those who don’t comply..and now a curfew at night. All commercial shops close from today until 9 April with only essential business like hospitals and supermarkets running as normal. On our 4th week of virtual home learning with the schools closed until further notice.
We just have to ride this out!

Tried everything to relieve painful discomfort post egg retrieval. Accumulation of trapped gas and masses of water due to OHSS. Found that 0.5 of teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in water helped hugely with gas and water (although there) reducing.
Spirit Feeling ok considering what body mind are going through. Meditation helps, keeping the hands and brain occupied makes time fly and green juicing at home to get all the energy flowing (in more ways that one 😉)
