I'm a cleaner in a hospital and I've noticed that if I sit down I can eat no problem and maybe feel sick a little but today I was washing up and then quickly hoovered and straight away after I finished I was sick I wasn't hungry because I didn't eat long before then. My worry is because I'm a cleaner and it's hot where I work I think I will just feel more sick but my work place isn't that understanding I need to go back but trying to think what best for me and my baby. They can't send me anywhere different because they don't want to move their staff. I've sat down now and I feel fine.
Please help me

Hi, I was pregnant several years ago (ended in MC), but I had terrible morning sickness. I could not work at all. They can't penalize you (if in the UK) for taking sick time for pregnancy, and they should be making amendments to accommodate your pregnancy needs also... do you have a union you are eligible to join? I understand the worry about financial implications and job security, I would definitely seek professional advice though!! Best of luck to you!! xx
Hiya! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Your employer is required to make reasonable adjustments since you are pregnant. So if hoovering is making you feel sick, they should be flexible and give you other, less taxing tasks to do. I’d encourage you to contact the charity Working Families; they have a great free legal advice service for situations like this. workingfamilies.org.uk/cont...
