As most of you are aware, I got a negative test, absolutely devastated. I have to call the hospital today to let them know. Does anyone know what happens when u call them after a failed round of IVF, do they bring u in for a review or is that it until you can try again? Xx

I expected my clinic to be really sympathetic but they were very business like about it - just wanted to warn you.

They booked us a follow up appointment about three weeks later x

I’ve always emailed them with my results when it’s a failed cycle. I really struggled with the idea of having to tell them over the phone. Not sure if that’s an option for you!xx

Awh pet, I thought posting mine on a portal was hard. I’d be making my husband ring . Once you tell them , it’s done and you can grieve etc properly . Also try and get a date soon for a review so you can hear their thoughts and next steps to reassure you .

Hi Cheeky. So sorry to hear this and I hope you've got some support just now. Your clinic might suggest testing again in 2 days, then if still negative, advise you to stop any medication you are on. They might ask to see you for a review, or wait until you have had a period that is "normal" for you and you feel you are ready, to contact them then. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks for ur message. No they send out letters but will receive one within 6 weeks. I have not started bleeding yet tho so if I ve not started bleeding in a week, need to retest, not holding out much hope tho xx
