Update on BETA

The hospital called me yesterday to give me the results, which was a huge surprise.

3495! So it hasn’t doubled but it has risen. She said it was a good result. I am beyond relieved! What a week. I did say to her “so what the hell is all this blood!”

It’s so scary. I am now much more chilled and waiting patiently for that scan. I need to get my head back into work and try and get on with everything like normal.

Congratulations! Your story is encouraging to me too. I spot every time I go to the loo, it's worse when I do the number 2.. but it's only those times I see blood.. when I wipe. My clinic doesn't check numbers, just a confirmation scan in two weeks.

I am also feeling pain on the left side of my stomach.. I think it's my ovary not sure.. coupled with on and off cramps.

I am just trying to keep calm till the scan. Having a community of people who listens is very encouraging. Thank you for sharing xx

Hi Alidees,

I’m going to message you privately because it’s a bit tmi what I’m about to say.

But for others that needs reassurance, I have pain in my left side on and off, back pains and cramps. With brown/dark brown/pink on the tissue every time.

Also, mine don’t do numbers but I went there and told them I was bleeding so they did the blood tests and again 48 hours after.

Thank God in your numbers are increasing. I read that you can bleed for a whole number of reasons but I can imagine how stressful it must be. I'm waiting for my scan to and its driving me crazy.

Congrats! Your hcg on 14dp5dt was amazing. What day did you take the second blood test, on 16dp5dt? Did they check your progesterone? Low progesterone could explain the spotting.

I know, I kept wondering if it was twins but that’s a teeny tiny chance! So the first test was 16dp5dt and the second was 18dp5dt. I was 14dp5dt on the Monday when I was supposed to test. Is it still good for those days?

If you are still spotting I would certainly do, just to make sure the bleeding is not due to low progesterone.

Great news! I think it’s 48-72 hours for doubling so sounds like it’s on the right track 🙌🏻

I know the bleeding is scary but it’s really common especially with IVF pregnancies. Sending you a big hug xxx

Absolutely amazing news my lovely how exciting XX I have my blood test tomorrow I’m really nervous about it now as I feel like the test was positive but what if the bloods are not saying the same? Eek xxx

Hey lovely I went in for blood yesterday and it was positive but only 38 and they would expect it to be 80 - I am back in tomorrow for another blood test. I have to hope and pray it doubles! So anxious xx hope your well lovely 😊

I’ve heard many people say that the numbers don’t matter. Anything over 25 👍🏼
