So today we have had our go ahead for a next cycle in a months time. I feel so afraid as mt last 2 cycles were not very good. 1st cycle i only got 2 blastocysts and second cycle no blastocysts at all.this will be my 4th cycle
I m just trying to remain hopeful and pray we will get to transfer. My doctor has suggested a day 3 tranafer of x2 embryos. Just wishbthis month flies by so I can start ❤️❤️❤️
Anyone had cycles were they produced few or no blastocysts and eventually ended getting pregnant? Need some stories for encouragement ❤️

Hi, I saw your post and it seemed similar to my own experience. I’ve had two rounds of IVF and I only had one make it through to day 2 on the first go and 2 as blastocysts on day 5 on the second go. Sadly, although I was pregnant both times, I lost both to a miscarriage and am now so scared of my next round in a few weeks.
People have been very clear to tell me that only one is needed. I used to think the same though, surely having more will increase my chances, but I know people that have got pregnant with just one.
Me too everyone says all you need is one. I transfered a perfect pgs tested embryo and still bfn. Im so loosing hope but try to think positive... Hoping our little miracle arrives ❤️❤️
I didn't know 2 was a bad number (although I knew it wasn't great)! I have had only 2 blastocysts on both my cycles. I got pregnant on my first cycle, but resulted in a MMC. You're making me think I should question my clinic more now, though. Should I be asking about day 3 transfers?
Hello dear, our problem was that we got high number of eggs collected and fertilised and only 2 blastocysts. Our embryos stop growing. From other cycle i got none and no transfer 😢
😢 Hopefully the next cycle is better and/or your day 3 ones will stick. I wonder if there's clinics that specialise in embryos that stop growing (although they should all really specialise in this as seems key!). xxxxx
In my three rounds so far I have had:
2 embryos make it to day 2 transfer BFN
3 embryos make it to day 5 transfer BFP but MC at 9 weeks
3 embryos make it to day 3 transfer BFN
I think its actually quite normal to only get a few embryos, and its actually very normal to have day 3 transfers. I may be wrong but for every person celebrating their grade 5AA Blasto on here I think there are probably another 10 who are panicking because only 2 embryos made it to day 3.
There is so much focus on day 5 and number of embryos I think those of us who just get a few probably keep quite quiet because we feel like we have failed somehow or the round has been a disaster etc. The reality is you only need one embryo to make a baby and there are loads of stories of BFPs after day 2 and 3 transfers - until recently they didnt even do day 5s.. in the 'old' days it was always day 3
I am channelling good luck and positive vibes for you - don't be disheartened - you could be a 6 weeks away from a BFP from a day 3 embryo and I will be the first to celebrate with you!
I’m also starting in a months time. I’ve got to order my meds this week ready for mid march.
It’s my 3rd round and so far I’ve had nothing to freeze and only 1 blast at day 5 transfer and 2 put back on day 3. All BFN results.
I’ve been really trying hard with my diet since xmas cut sugar right down and alcohol completely. I have a good BMI but Im hoping it makes a difference to my embryo quality!
I also got tested for Killer cells which shows at being high so I’ll be on some more drugs this round 🤞🏼
Im trying to eat healthy and keep away from alcohol too. My bmin is good too. I started flaxseed too.. I heard so many good things about it and gave it a try. Will see ❤️good luck dear may you get your BFP very very soon
Hi Lorita. We have experienced similar in terms of high numbers of eggs, then significant deterioration/poor development, ending up with early transfers or poor quality embryos and nothing to freeze. No success yet I’m afraid, but we did try AOA this time and there seemed to be a little improvement. It’s a relatively cheap procedure that might be worth looking into as there is developing evidence (albeit still very early days) that it might support better embryo development (it was originally developed to improve poor fertilisation rates).
