Egg Collection Tomorrow and I'm full of cold 🤧

So went for a follow up scan yesterday and the nurses were very pleased with how much my follicles had grown over the weekend. (They were squeaking away to themselves in excitement!). I'm all booked in for 8.30am tomorrow to have my eggs collected and have done my trigger injection!

Currently off work sick with a stinking cold so feeling like they'll think I'm taking the mick and that having a cold will affect collection. Anyone else had this? Feeling so run down 😔. Sorry to be a negative Nelly just feeling anxious!xx

Haven't had this I'm afraid but had my egg collection last Friday and the transfer yesterday.

Good luck for egg collection. Don't worry about work! Your health and fertility treatments are more important! I have no idea how a cold would affect collection, but your follicles will have done most of the growing/forming by now, and you're on the final stretch, so try not to worry about that either. It's no fun being ill. xxx

Thank you! Hubby keeps saying ignore work and just look after you but it's hard!

Hopefully with the day off today I will be on the mend for tomorrow and can sleep it off soundly with the sedation when I get home!xx

Hi Alocins, I really don’t believe that having a cold would affect egg collection. However if you still feel unwell by your transfer day I would suggest speaking to staff at your clinic. Not to project any worry onto you but I do think a transfer is best when you’re at your best health. Good luck...x

Thanks Tiddly, I'm inclined to agree, I wouldn't want anything to mess with our chance of success. We only get one shot on the NHS so want to make it count!xx
