Bleeding on medication

Yesterday I had my scan to check lining ready for transfer. I was told I was ready, that it was really thick (17.1) I have continued with meds and this evening I go for a pee to find I am bleeding. I called the unit who said they will have to speak to me tomorrow and see if I continue bleeding. She said it does happen although nto that often and suggested it could be that a little bit has come away as it was so thick. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi michelleWG39,

I recently had an embryo transfer and am waiting for my results ! On the day of my transfer they found out I was bleeding tiny bit.. but these are all the side effects of all the medications you are on. Did you bleed a lot or was it just a tiny bit and has it stopped?

There was a lot in my pants and at the moment I am still bleeding. I have put my pessaries in and will see if it stops over night.

Hi MichelleWG38,

I would personally say call the nurses and speak to them. I’m not sure if you are doing this privately or thru NHS depending which country your from. But you should call the nurses and explain everything to them and they will let the doctors know and call you back as soon as possible!

I hope it all goes well for you x

I have called them and waiting for a call back. I am due in again Monday. I'm thinking if it continues they can give me a scan then and take it from there. This morning it is lighter and not that much, but I do have period type pain so I am expecting it to come on heavier today.

I really do hope it’s not period and all goes well for you! They can easily do a scan and be able to tel if it’s periods or not. Just try and rest up as much as possible because all these medications do have side effects which makes woman bleed x

Just to update those interested. The bleeding was a one time thing. Literally just had two embryos transferred so here begins the start of the tww. I know I'll over analyse everything as I always do, but let's hoeo for a BFP come 14 days from now.
