Can eggs shrink during stims??

Ok, this is probably a ridiculous question - but yesterday (day 4) I was feeling really uncomfortable around the ovaries and today (day 5) it feels like the pressure is gone or at least much less. Could they be going backwards?? I am so new to all this and have no clue if I should be worried or if it's normal. The only symptoms I've had so far was feeling some tightness/pressure around the ovaries on days 3 and 4, but today basically nothing.

The more twinges you feel the better, this means that you are responding to the medication. This is absolutely normal. They cannot go backwards, you can only slow them down by taking the injections that is stopping you from ovulation (like orgalutran, cetrotide).

I was same as this, first few days uncomfortable but I had double dose then normal on single dose days then a bit achey before egg collection . Hopefully all is well 🤩 waiting to know what’s going on inside is the hardest thing ever! If you’re doing your stuff then it’ll be doing it’s . Keep yourself happy 😃 you’re doing everything that you can .... fact!

It will be your follicles growing and your ovaries enlarging that are giving you pressure (that will hopefully contain some juicy eggs) these won't shrink whilst you are stimulating, and your trigger will help any eggs to mature. It's sometimes due to how the ovaries are sitting (I felt immense pressure for weeks afterwards). You may well wake up tomorrow and your symptoms have returned, it's so hard not to read into every little thing!!

I'm guessing you may have a scan soon to check how they are progressing so you will know more after that ie: whether you're ready for collection or if they keep you going a while longer. Good luck 🥰
