Hi Miracle43, I stimmed for a long time too, day 15 I bled a little and freaked out as never happened before. Best advice call the clinic it may be something or nothing either way, I would call them and find out. (In my case it was unexplained and they did a scan to be sure. I stopped bleeding after 4 hours.) Hope everything turns out to be ok. Would love an update
Poor thing, I feel for you, I know this journey is hard enough and so unpredictable, even when you've been through a few cycles it seems something always happens to keep us on our toes. My nurses said mine possibly could have been a bit of lining and just to keep a eye on it. Doesn't necessarily have to be bad news, sometimes our bodies are just adapting to the meds. Very glad you are getting it checked out though. (I am definitely not a qualified fertility specialist, just someone who can relate.) Stay strong, know it's ok to feel what you feel. Big hugs 🤞🤞
I am the wrong side of 40 as well, 3 failed cycles am 43 in June but still we keep trying. I may be out of place saying this, but know it comes from care I want you to have your little miracle.
You mentioned taking vitamin e. My nurse said don't take it as it can be a blood thinner. I don't want to cause you any more stress but maybe check with them the vitamins/pills your taking too?? Who knows ??
Hi Pittapata, The blood cyst is dispersing, follicle although still small has grown to just over 13 but my lining is thinning 😭. They think that’s the reason for the bleed. I’m now waiting for a call to see what happens next. I can’t see it being good news. Can’t do much without a lining.
Oh no! Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure. Would it still be possible to proceed? If not for fresh transfer maybe a FET one? Follicle is still 13mm maybe they can grow it slower so your lining can catch up? So sad for you.
We haven't tried mild ivf/natural ivf mainly because of age. I don't know if it would work. This journey just has soo many ups and downs, so consuming too.
I spoke with our consultant this wk, and suggested that if this cycle didn’t work, they would try a more natural approach which I think is mild ivf. So they concentrate on quality over quantity.
You go from your natural period, don’t do a baseline but scan on day 5 or 7 so your body selects the follicles if you like, once they see them they then start stimms. She said it’s better in older ladies x
Hi Miracle43, sorry to hear you’re bleeding. This happened to me while stimming and it turned out I had an infection of the womb lining, from a womb biopsy I’d had a week earlier. Have you had any procedures done? I was put on antibiotics and the bleeding stopped within a few days. Hope it clears up x
Hi Miracle43 - l started spotting whilst on stims like on a Wednesday and egg collection was due on a Friday. When l told them on the Wednesday they were not surprised because from bloods done 2 days earlier my estrogen levels were very high and they adjusted my trigger injection dose.
They also had noticed l hydrosalphinx which they suspected was leaking back into the uterus. So on egg collection day my lining was checked and it was good and spotting was still on. Fresh transfer was cancelled, hydrosalphinx was there and was put on antibiotics. The spotting progressed into period 10 days later and have not had spotting.
Hi, it happened to me! I got very worried cause it was a lot of red blood. It gradually stopped at around day 5/6 of stimming. Nothing to worry about, my scans showed that everything was ok!
Hi Miracle43, I know how you feel! This journey is so up and down! My period was also long before I started stimming but I still bled with menopur twice on both failed cycles. I’m with nhs and nurses could not explain why I was bleeding! The positive is that your eggs are growing! Good luck, I ll keep my fingers crossed for you! ☺️
