FET- Day 3 of 2ww- bad cramps, lower back pain, is this normal?

Hi there,

On Tuesday I had a FET- Day 5 blastocyst. Currently on the awful 2ww, on day 3 and ever since the transfer Iv had period cramps and yesterday started with lower back pain. Iv also had some sharp twinges which have taken my breath away. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a fresh cycle in 2016 which resulted in my amazing now 3 year old son! My memory isn’t the best and not sure I experienced the pains with him.

I’m on 4x Progynova 2mg tablets a day (estradol) and 2x Cyclogest 400mg pessaries a day. Wasn’t sure if the medication could be giving me the pains? I’m also very bloated!

I’m currently off work as my job is very stressful and want to be as relaxed as possible for the next 2 weeks.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sweetie. Just might be your womb settling back down after being manipulated. Sharp pains are sometimes a sign of a urine infection, so make sure you drink plenty of water. Progesterone is more likely to give you mood swings rather than any pain. Fingers crossed all ends in a successful pregnancy again. Diane

Hi Sweetie,

It can be good signs, bad signs or mean nothing. Sorry to say. It really is frustrating this two week wait. I had cramping from my FET. Felt like period was coming. It was mildish if it feels extreme maybe best to call your clinic. You might have a water infection. I really hope you get your BFP on test day. Good luck xxxx

Did you become pregnant after the cramping from your FET?

My cramps are mild just like a dull achey pain like before a period. Iv been told I won’t come on my period even if I’m not pregnant not until I stop my medication.

Unfortunately the FET had failed but this does not mean it has for you. We are all so different.

Oh no so sorry to hear that. Did you cramp the whole 2 weeks wait?

How soon after did you test? Im tempted to do it 10 days after the transfer.

The wait is the worse part isn’t it.

No it was like 3 random days of the two week wait. Felt like period wanted to come but others have said that had that feeling and got BFP.

I tested early and it messed with my head also cost me a lot of money on tests. The earliest I would say to test is 10dpt save yourself the heartache if it’s a false negative and if it’s a faint positive before you won’t believe it anyway lol

Yes it is! I haven’t actually bought a test yet and won’t until nearer the 10 days. Thanks so much for getting back to me on these messages. It’s so hard not knowing what to expect xxx

Congratulations that’s really good news. I’m tempted to take a test too as I’m 8dp5dt and have 3 test starring at me. I’m not sure I can last much longer without caving. My OTD is Monday and my clinic said I may not get the results till the following day. It feels as if time has come to a haunt due to this agonising wait.

To be honest I tested after 5dp5dt and it showed up a faint positive. Then Iv tested every morning since and the line has gradually got darker. But I know everyone is different so if you test and get negative please don’t be disheartened. The 2 week wait is honestly the hardest and i had such bad anxiety that I just had to test.

Iv been getting symptoms but I know that the symptoms are from the Progesterone suppositories that mimics pregnancy symptoms. Is yours a frozen cycle?
