Buserline for trigger

Did any one have buserline as a trigger shot and if so how much were you told to take? What are the pros and cons of taking this over say Ovitrell?

Any information would be a great help. Thank you ladies.

Hi AnnieAnnie,

I’ve done 4 cycles, first two were Ovitrell on long protocol. Third was double Ovitrell on long protocol. Last one was buserlin and Gonassi on short protocol.

All rounds were the same in terms of egg maturity. Last round was most successful in terms of egg quality.

Buserlin I think was 1ml which is the whole syringe!

Hi KiboXX do you mind me asking, when you did the buserelin & gonassi - did you take both injections prior to egg collection? Or did you take the gonasi after egg collection? xx

Hi Picalilli99,

I did both before egg collection but I have a lower AMH so I’m not an OHSS risk xx

I was told to take the whole syringe and the clinic gave me an exact time to take it. They usually prescribe the exact amount so it’s easier for when you take it xx

I had buserelin trigger on short protocol and had to take two 0.5ml injections. Hopefully your clinic told you what amount to take and when?

Hiya. Buserlin doesn’t contain hcg so is good for ladies at risk of ohss. I used it for that reason. Can’t remember the dose I was on but think it was 1 full vial. Good luck! X

I had buserelin trigger on my short protocol with a dose of 0.5ml. It's given instead of ovitrelle to reduce your risk of OHSS. It should be given at an exact time which your clinic should advise you of.

Good luck x
