Feeling anxious and excited and just generally proud of myself for getting this far - any tips to remain calm over the next few days? And what to expect?
Also, at my scan today - one follicle measured 23mm….do you think this one won’t be viable?
Well done lovely for getting this far - make sure to chill out for the next day and enjoy not having to inject! Re the follicle I'm not sure - I had one a similar size and the consultant said it's hard to get them all the same, sometimes they have to "sacrifice" one further developed one to allow all the others to be ready. That being said, they still retrieved more eggs than I had follicles. Trust the doctors as they do this all day every day! Wishing you all the luck 🤞🙏
thank you so much 🥰 I’m working from home tomorrow and then we leave 5.30am Wed for the drive to the hospital.
Oh really? So did they get more than they originally counted? That’s amazing!
They counted 7 between 12-20mm today, and then 1 at 23mm. But I have 14 follicles. I really have no idea how many I’ll get on Wed, I don’t quite understand it all.
I’ve also been thinking - is it possible to ovulate early when they’re the size they are? They’ve done no blood tests so I am anxious. x
You've been taking an antagonist injection (?fyramadel) which will stop your body ovulating, then after the trigger it usually takes about 36 hours for the follicles to "ripen" before ovulating. I was really worried the first time as they were taking their time getting ready for collection and I was anxiously looking at the clock thinking they'd missed it but it was absolutely fine. There are so many things to worry about, sounds as though things are going as they planned so have all my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🙏♥️Xxx
yes I took my last Fyremedal this morning, then 8.45pm tonight trigger for 8.45am collection. Hopefully will be fine, it’s just another hurdle I guess, lots more to come 🥺 it’s such a journey hey.
I can imagine you were super anxious for that wait! I hate people being late in general, let alone egg collection 😆 glad it went well. Xxxx
