We are about to undergo a 2nd round of NHS IVF with a frozen 5-day blastocyst I wanted to post on here and get some views. Our case is unexplained infertility. Male (38) has a high sperm count and no negative factors on the test. Female (36) also had no negative results for tests.
During egg collection, we produced 13 eggs which 3 developed into embryos. We transferred 1 and which resulted in a positive pregnancy test but failed within a few days. Some questions we had were:
Does our first IVF round give any indication as to our problem? Has anyone had a sperm DNA test and found this helped? We are also wondering if we should transfer 2 remaining embryos at this point.

I think after one failed, they don't do much follow up to explore why, it is more down to luck.
I was told that they won't transfer two embryos unless they are poorer quality as the risk of twins is obviously increased which then costs the NHS more money. If you are going private you can then decide if two embryos are put in.
