Open myomectomy

I’m booked in to have my open myomectomy on the 10th to remove fibroids, they can’t do keyhole as it’s more tricky with the adenomyosis as well. Feeling very nervous and wondering if I’m doing the right thing at this time of year as I’m expecting not to be able to move or do anything for a few weeks ☹️. I know my IVF chances are pretty much zero if I don’t go through with this but still wish it didn’t need to happen 😩

I had my myomectomy the end of November 2 years ago and was so glad it was done. Christmas was a quiet one as a result but I dont think there will ever be a 'better' time. Plus you would want to get it out of the way sooner rather than later so you can get your baby plans back on track. It sucks you have to do it but trust me, it will bring you fresh new hope, trust me... I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and can't wait to meet little ducky. This is the one that was meant to be. I fought to get them by going through all the.motions. and wouldn't t change it for the world. Hope this helps. You are.doing the right thing. Best of luck xx

Thanks and I’m sure I will feel like that when it’s all over, it’s just nerves at the moment. Yep, I do keep thinking that even if I do need to wait the full 6 months then I’m looking at June next year instead of August or later so that’s a definite plus.

Thank you again 🙂 I’m just constantly thinking about it and feeling sorry for myself but you’re right Xx
