My niece has just got chickenpox and wondering if I need to stay away while she has it or am I ok to be around her whilst going through my treatment? I’m due for egg collection (fingers crossed) w/c 9th.
Thanks

I think you are safe if you have had chicken pox before but if you haven’t I would keep away until it is all scabbed over x
We had a similar issue and I wasn’t sure so spoke to the clinic, they advised to air on the side of caution and advised we didn’t see our friends little one who had the chicken pox, wishing you all the best for your treatment xxx
I was in same situation and been advised to avoid contact
Chicken pox is dangerous to pregnant women if they haven't had it themselves. However you can have natural immunity.
Unfortunately they think chicken pox is contagious up to two weeks before the spots arrive so if you've been around her you could potentially already have been exposed.
Apparently i only had three spots as a toddler which looking back now looks like i didn't have a large enough dose and could potentially get it again.
Best to avoid as even if you have had chicken pox before u could still get shingles from the chicken pox virus x
