Is it likely to be a chemical?! Or was the 6dp test a false positive? Both were using the same branded tests and with first morning urine. Feeling frustrated š«(6th transfer, last one went the furthest but stopped growing just before 6 weeks and no heartbeat seen). This one now seems a step backwards

Positive test at 6dp5dt, Negative at 7dp5dt
Hey Sorry the test results have not been clear, I wondered was it a fresh transfer involving a trigger shot? If so the positive result at 6dp5dt could have been from the trigger shot? xx
Hi, thanks for replying. It was a frozen transfer but they did use the HCG injection at the time of transfer so maybe you're right and that was the trigger residue. The only reason I have started testing early is so I can assess whether the lines are getting darker or lighter so I can guess if it's likely to be another chemical or not
Hard to do but try not to test again till your OTD Keep yourself busy meantime - eat a healthy diet - drink plenty of fluids and continue will medication as directed

If you had HCG at transfer then it's possible it was the trigger as it can stick around for up to 10 days depending on the dose. But otherwise there's no really such a thing as a false positive. The lines can be very hit and miss at this stage but if it was a clear positive to a stark negative at this stage I'd err towards trigger which is good in a way as if you get a line again you'll know for definite. I'm a serial and early tester and have tested out the trigger and like you do it because I want to know if there's been implantation and some development, even if it doesn't last. I also get repeat HCGs done so I have a realistic idea of viability and that's another's option to consider if you're worried about chemicals and want to avoid driving yourself mad comparing lines.
