AMH result

Just got my AMH result back today, I’m 38 and my level is 6.5. From my understanding this is slightly lower than normal but I should still get a reasonable response from ovarian stimulation when we start our treatment, is this correct? Does anyone have any experience of success with less than good AMH? Can I do anything to improve our chances of a good yield? Tia

Loads of people swear by dhea 25mg 3 times a day, ubiquinol, omega 3. The book it starts with the egg by Rebecca fett is a good read x

My AMH is 3.3. I produced 31 and 18 eggs during my last 2 cycles (after having produced 10 and 4 during my first two cycles where I didn't take any supplement).

I take dhea 25mg 3 times a day, ubiquinol 300mg, omega 3 and most importantly Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with PQQ (4 per day). I was told that the PQQ makes a big difference.

Hi just wondering about the Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with PQQ, you might share the name of this supplement? Thanks

Thanks so much. I’ve already started ubiquinol and have just ordered the others that have been recommended. Really appreciate your advice!

In 2018 before I started ivf my AMH was 12.7. I had to have another test done last week as we’re starting our 2nd cycle with a clinic abroad and my AMH has gone down to 5.7. I’ve been stressing loads about it - how it could of dropped that much in the space of 18 months? I’ve recently started taking DHEA and the other recommended supplements so I’m hoping it will help. I’m 39 btw.

I took 50mg dhea 600mg ubiquinol 20mg ppq amongst other supplements wasn’t having ivf just natural cycles I took for 3 mths and conceived but mc for the 3rd time. I felt like the supplements helped maybe conceive but didn’t help with egg quality. Ive not conceived for a year now. I’ve just had my amh test done waiting for results I’m 39 getting a hsg aswel. I’d be interested to find out my levels as this is really the only fertility tests I’ve had only reoccurring mc tests been ttc for 2&1/2 years.

I had an AMH of 4 and my first collection I got 8 eggs but not the best quality and didn’t fall. I read it starts with the egg and started on DHA, Ubiquinol, Vitamin D and Folate and I really believe my eggs have improved greatly. My dr said every round you may get more mature eggs so I just concentrated on making them the best I could.

My first round I only got to day 3 transfer because of my quality. I started on the supplements and by round 3 and we have two blastocysts back in and two frozen ❄️❄️

So yes I think i did improve my eggs thanks to the supplements and my diet... low sugar, no caffeine or alcohol (well very little 😄)

Best of luck x

Hi Tia, just thought I’d reach out to to you on this one. I’m 29 years old, I’d already had a child at 24 with no problems and struggled for 2 years trying to get pregnant with my second so decided to get checked out. I had my AMH test done back in Nov and it came back at 6.1 which, especially for my age, was low. I responded ok to stimulation treatment on a 225mm dose, I think it was, with 12 good follicles but only produced 6 eggs out of which only 4 were mature and only 2 fertilised which I’m not going to lie was quite disheartening and upsetting at the time. To make it worse the embryos weren’t performing great, one was graded a 4 which was poor and the other a 2/3 which is good to average, so they suggested a day 3 transfer as a pose to a day 5 (which is when they like them to get to blasto stage). We decided to have a go at putting the one back in which had the most chance and seeing how we went on. If it didn’t work, our consultant said we could up the stimulation drugs which would hopefully help me produce more viable eggs so we would have more to go off however here I am with 2 weeks to go until my due date and we meet our little girl 💕 It really only does take one so I hope you can take some comfort from this. Sending all the love and luck in the world to you x

Hi there, I’m 38 and conceived my first daughter using clomid. However, struggled with my second and found out my AMH was less than 1.1 and FSH was 55 (?). Was recommended donor eggs but persevered and after 3 cycles of mild ivf managed one egg and one embryo and one baby! She’s now 4 months old- my miracle. I also took the DHEA and ubiquinol that people recommend...(although maybe not religiously nor for as long as I should have). Wishing you heaps of luck- it really does just take one! All the best.

Hi. Quality is indeed important and sometimes maybe also luck.

I had an AMH of 0.94 (with 1 ovary) last year at almost 39 years. Took supplements for 5 months, did short protocol ivf (started with lowest dose of menopur, increased at the end), got 5 follicles and 5 mature eggs, 4 fertilised and had 2 5-day blastocysts, transferred one (4BB) and froze the other one (5AB). And now I have a 3 week old son :)

Good luck!
