Well, that says it all really. Despite Crinone morning and night and Lubion morning and night... progesterone still wasn't high enough. I think that the nurse manager said that the level was 0.94 and they were looking for over 100.
Emotionally, mentally, physically and psychologically drained. My only question is how long till my cycle starts after stopping all medications???
We have a follow up next week and hopefully make some key changes to medications.
I will shut down until we have 'licked our wounds' and regrouped.
I hope that everyone on this journey has a better outcome than me. Take care of yourselves

I’m so sorry....such a hard journey for us all....look after yourself and just rest....my period started before OTD so once you stop medication It will return....it might be slightly late but don’t panic xxx
So so sorry Yammie. BFNs suck. Give yourself time to mourn and build your strength back up. I would def be demanding intra muscular injections next time. Prontogest was the turning point for me - I went from 4 on lubion to 93 on prontogest and got pregnant. Make sure you have a serious chat about progesterone on your follow up! For now though, so so sorry and take good care of yourself xxxx
Thanks, The only problem is that I don't drive and our clinic is in London, not Cambridgeshire. My husband will not be prepared to do the injections either, so Prontogest is not an option. Very seriously thinking about giving the whole thing up...We just don't have any money left now even if we sell the house, which is not an option.
Hi @yammie1973 So sorry to hear that, get some rest and build your strength up again for a new round. I also had Progesterone levels issues during my transfer, and my clinic gives a lot more progesterone than your clinic did. Before your next transfer, I would ask for intramuscular progesterone injections and I would also look into:
-An ERA/ALICE/EMMA test to make sure that the transfer happens at the time you are the most receptive.
-PGS testing your embryos: I recently did that and found out that, out of 16 embryos, only 2 were PGS normal. This means that I could have gone through 6 transfers of embryos that wouldn't be normal - it's a lot of transfers for nothing.
Thanks Dogpark, another round is not financially going to happen, unless a miracle happens. We have 5 embryos left and PGS testing would mean that we lose them anyway. Intramuscular injections are not going to be viable. My husband will not do injections...he was physically sick watching me do the subcutaneous, neighbours are few and too far away to matter and I don't drive AND our clinic is in London not Cambridgeshire.
What is ERA/ALICE/EMMA test? - my lining was perfect, but because of the underactive thyroid issue, my body didn't respond to the progesterone as they had hoped.
Clinic wants a follow up - what's to follow up, transfer failed - clinic offered counselling BUT I Don't do talking - never have never will!
You can do the Prontogest injections to yourself in the thigh. The nurses can teach you. There are also YouTube videos showing you. It's not much more complicated than subcutaneous injections.
ERA etc is a biopsy of your endometrium which shows when you are receptive for implantation. A friend of mine did it after 2 BFNs and it showed that her transfer had to take place after 6 days of progesterone instead of 5. She got pregnant after that. It costs about 1k to do this test. I am going to do it before my next transfer. You want to maximize your chances with the remaining embryos.
Well, according to the nurse manager, my clinic wanted it over 100, I don't know what the 'perfect' level is - if someone could let us both know, then it would certainly be a target to aim for! What I don't get is, when my progesterone levels were checked on the day of transfer, the results came back by email as 'Reassuring' - WTF does that mean, surely they should be aiming for 'too low' or 'perfect' it was almost as if they were thinking 'oh well, we've done the transfer, too bad if it doesn't work!!'
Only if the clinic says to, please don't go off what I have said...I am most certainly not the person to say anything about hormone levels - just as confused as you are
