Trial for men with unexplained fertility

Am I allowed to put details of a London based trial on here?

My husband took part but there have been so few people taking part, I’m trying to muster up some interest.

They are looking for men with normal (??) semen parameters and their partner has regular periods and has a test to confirm their tubes are patent. I should point out that my husband has good numbers but terrible motility and morphology! DNA Frag has come back 30-47%.

You get a free analysis and ROS test. You also have a blood test. Takes 30-45mins.

Essentially they are looking for a common bacteria that could be causing damage to the Semen.

Anyone interested?? Xxx

Hey Saye! Someone else put a post up about the trial yesterday too! They put the guys email address up, so I don’t think I’m breaking rules!

What’s the ROS test they conducted? Was it free and did they cover ur travel cost?

Think it stands for Reactive Oxidative Species. It’s all free, so no they won’t cover your travel as far as I’m aware. To pay for the tests you get for free would costs hundreds of pounds.

If you’re a healthy male who has fathered kids easily then I think you get £50 to cover your expenses.

My husband got his individual results but obviously there are no overall conclusions from the trial yet as not enough men have taken part.

Email Tharu he’ll answer all your questions x
