Vanishing twin 😢💔

We had our 8 week scan on Tuesday and found one of the twins had stopped growing at 6.5wk and had no heartbeat 💔. Just so devastated 😢 thankfully the other little fighter was measuring 8.1wks and looked fine. But I am now terrified! Worried my little one will stop growing. Having another scan next Thursday but I’m so scared they will tell me bad news. Just after any experiences, advice and just some support. Thank you 🤗😘

Hey my lovely, really sorry to hear the news about one of your babies.

The exact same thing happened to my friend a few years ago after finding out she was pregnant with twins from IVF. But I'm happy to say that the other one survived and grew into a healthy little boy who is now 6 years old.

I know its a very difficult time for you but you now have to concentrate on the miracle that is still growing inside you. You have been through a very tough journey so far, please don't give up hope, you've got this 😘.

I’m so sorry to read this. Heartbreaking!

This happened to us in 2017. Lost one at 10 weeks. Sounds like you have a little fighter on board so don’t give up and stay as positive as you can xxx

This happened to us, we lost one of ours at about 8wk but the other one is now a very healthy almost two year old.

It’s very sad and I often think of our tiny little one but try and focus on your little fighter xxx

So do I. Will keep everything crossed. We’ve just had a transfer cancelled cos my silly liking wasn’t thick enough! At least we didn’t waste an embryo! We’re going to have a break and go again in Jan xx

This happened to me at the exact same stage as you and i am now 6 months pregnant with the surviving twin a little girl like you i was also terrified after what happened as well as devastated as each week passes you will worry a little less, i hope everything turns out well for you x

It dragged for me until 20 weeks now its going super fast but i think that because i have finally relaxed before that i was always counting down the days

Sorry to hear this lovely. So pleased your other one is doing well.

Try not to worry (easier said than done) take time to grieve and then you can focus on your little fighter and hopefully enjoy your pregnancy.

I can only imagine....you're in my prayers. Thursday must seem a long time away. I've read so many stories about this happening to others and such positive endings. Sounds like your little one is doing great and there's no reason why they won't continue to do great. XXXX

Yes I had hysteroscopy - they removed a polpy and all else looked good...... im back on meds for our 4th attempt at FET.....
