Struggling with less clinic FaceTime for a FET

Hi all

So I’m nearly a week into our cycle for a FET, baseline scan was last Friday and I’ve been taking progynova since then to start building up my lining. I don’t have another scan until next Tuesday where my lining needs to be measuring at least 7mm for me to swap over to progesterone and schedule in transfer.

It feels so hands off compared to a fresh cycle and, even though the meds are not making me feel great, I am definitely not missing the daily injections! Just a bit worried that I’ll get to the scan next week and nothing will have happened, it’s so hard not to know whats going on inside and whether you’re responding to the meds in the right way!

Can’t decide whether I’m starting to feel a bit ‘fuller’ in my belly or whether it’s just my imagination. Aside from feeling knackered and my mood being all over the shop, anyone else having a FET have any other indications that their lining was thickening correctly? I’m trying to just take it easy, gentle exercise to increase blood flow and eating as much iron rich and bold enhancing food as possible but still don’t know whether it’s working!!

This is totally normal. I had absolutely no signs or symptoms of the lining thickening for my previous FET and the one I’m in the process of now. Both times at my scan my lining was perfect so just keep doing what you are doing, there is literally no way you will be able to tell how it’s going till the scan.

I feel it’s very hands off with the FET too. Literally got sent the meds by courier, baseline scan then lining scan then transfer and that’s it! Good luck! Xx

Thank you! yeh it’s so strange when usually id be seeing the clinic every couple of days by now. also different in that we’ve not actually seen our consultant at all this round and probably won’t unless it doesn’t work! that’s put my mind at rest and hoping next scan shows everything is on track!!

Me neither. No consultant until follow up appointment when it doesn’t work 🙄 make you request to see the consultant at that point because I was originally booked in with a nurse but I insisted on seeing the consultant. Hopefully it will work and you won’t need to worry about that!
