I am currently 13dp5dt and have taken a pregnancy test for the last three mornings all of which have been positive (Yayyy!!). Last night i started with a brown discharge and cramping. Is this normal? My last FET ended in a mmc at 7 weeks and i am so scared the same is going to happen again. I guess i am just looking for reassurance that these symptoms can be a normal part of early pregnancy. I was given two OTD's, one Monday = positive and one tomorrow after which I have to phone the clinic with the results so I will ask them, just hoping someone can put my mind at rest today?!!!
Hi, congratulations on the positive. Spotting can be very normal and slight cramping. What I did to monitor it is I took a test every morning and monitored whether or not the line faded or not from the last one I did the day before etc. The line fades if it can’t detect as much hormone which would signal possible miscarriage.
Obviously the results from the clinic will be better so it’s a anxious waiting game,. Fingers crossed.
thank you, i must admit i got the previous mornings pregnancy tests out of the bin this morning to check against today's and they were all strong and dark lines. Counting down the hours until I get the first scan date, then will be counting down the days to that. It definitely is an anxious waiting game xx
Bin? Oh i saved all of my mine. I still have them now in a draw lol if the line hasnt faded i would try not to worry. We do over think and convince ourselves its going wrong just so we can be prepared mentally if it does go wrong type thing.... I have hope for you hun. Let us know what the clinic says please x
thanks, i haven't got a scan date yet. I have to take another test tomorrow morning and ring the clinic with the results. Hopefully they will be able to give me a scan date then xx
Really sorry for your mc & it’s awful seeing any blood when pregnant esp after a previous loss, I fell with my daughter after a loss I never fully relaxed till she arrived.
I had bleeding in both full term pregnancies - I bled heavily with my 20 year old son (!) at 7 weeks told to expect a mc & had mostly brown spotting on/off between 6-14 weeks with my 3 month old daughter.
Really hope it eases up soon & rest up xxx

thanks, it is reassuring to hear you have had a similar experience and had a positive outcome. I don't think i will ever stop worrying until my baby arrives and then for long after that xx
Hi just wanted to see how you are getting on, we had the same test day. I can’t help feeling so anxious, on the run up to the test I felt so sick and really sore boobs. Now I have no symptoms at all and I can’t help but fear the worst. My clinic doesn’t do bloods so I guess I’ll have to ride it out until my scan which is 3 weeks today. Xx
Hi great to have someone who is going through this at the same time, big congratulations on your BFP.
The discharge has stopped now and things seem to be settling down. I have some cramps still but no other symptoms really other than really thirsty! I'm NHS so i don't have bloods taken either but i did my final OTD today and got a strong positive, much darker line than Monday's so i'm taking that as a good sign. I have to phone the clinic to get my scan date but struggling to get through to them this morning.
I guess there is not much we can do now until the first scan. Today i am of the mind that i'm happy i am pregnant and going to enjoy this moment. Tomorrow may be a different story but positive thoughts are what i have decided i am going with today.
Please keep in touch and let me know how you get on, take care xx
Glad you have got a strong positive today. I feel excited but just nervous as well, I know I’ll feel so much better in 3 weeks if everything goes ok by then. Good luck with your pregnancy and keep me updated xx
It’s very normal. I’m sure it’s fine. I experienced breakthrough bleeding and cramps around time period was due and this could be what you’re experiencing.
thanks for the reassurance, its nice to hear that others have experienced similar things. It seems to have settled down today so am going to continue taking things easy and try and relax xx
