Early Scan nerves

Hi ladies need some advice. My first scan after BFP is Tues 3rd Sept, I've been so anxious I phoned today and they can give me a scan on friday 30th, so I'll just be 6 weeks and a bit, should I wait and go next week so I'll be 7 weeks or go early? The nurses said there might be a clearer picture if I wait to tuesday. Any advice would be great!

Do what feels right for you. They wouldn't have changed the date of it wouldn't have been possible. You can ways pay for extra scans afterwards if you go for the earlier one. Xx

We did actually see the heartbeat at just over 6 weeks, but Dr wasn't sure it would be possible as it's still pretty early. If you can manage to wait a little longer it might save you stress if there isn't yet a heartbeat but there's not necessarily anything wrong xxx

Hello lovely. I would wait, I no it’s really hard but the panic can take over us in these situations but try and stay calm and wait for the later date one. X

Ahh I’d be the same and want sooner but at same time guess if have the unknown of if gonna be accurate or too early or not at 6 weeks maybe good to wait. All up to u. This wait too is hard but worth it xx

Hi,

I"m 15 weeks pregnant after FET#2. My clinic was very helpful. Blood test at 4w and 5w and first scan at 6w due to my history of 1 miscarriage and 3 ectopic in the past. We were able to see the 2 tiny heartbeats at 6 weeks. We had another scan at 8 weeks in our last appointment with the fertility doc before being released to my private OBGYN.

I know it can be disappointing when you don't see the heartbeat on you first scan (I've been there), but If your clinic offers you an early scan at 6w I would take it.

But in the end it's up to you! Good luck!

We had our first scan at 6+2, as we were going on holiday a couple of days later.

Everything seen at that scan and we got discharged from the clinic at that stage.

If you need to have it early due to being anxious, then have it. Just go with an open mind that sometimes everything can’t been seen then and if the clinic aren’t satisfied then they will rescan you.

I burst into tears when we got called in from having had pains at 5 weeks and previous miscarriages....good luck x
