Thanks Hun, my husband has a daughter so previous gp I was with didn’t help with funding, we have moved recently as the Ccg is slightly different where they help if the child doesn’t live with you and she lives with her mum so currently re doing some STD tests and then hoping to get help.. my husband doesn’t earn a lot of money so then it’s added pressure on me to find the money if we have to pay all of those thoughts in my head are just driving my crazy every month I am up and then I am down it’s a viscous circle x

Oh wow that is fantastic news that you might be offered funding with this different area, thats real progress! Good luck with your tests etc x

Hello Hun. We were also given the same reason of unexplained infertility. I was about to start the IVF process and managed to get catch naturally a month before. Please do not give up hope x

Me and my partner's fertility was deemed unexplained. He had top quality sperm, bloods showed I was regularly ovulating so we just didn't know what was going wrong. It was discovered I have a low ovarian reserve, but I don't believe that's necessarily a barrier to conception.

From our first ivf cycle, we got 2 blastocysts and the second transfer resulted in my son. With none remaining, we decided wed see if we could conceive again naturally and boom, the first proper month trying I conceived naturally. We couldn't believe the pregnancy test!! I'm due to give birth within 2 months.

I hope my story gives you hope. We also ttc for around 4 years before we had our first. It seems ivf reset my body.

Good luck and I hope you have a positive journey.

I was trying for 4 years and now pregnant after first round of IVF. I still have no idea what was wrong, I ovulate regularly, husband has good quality sperm and we are in our early 30s (I started TTC at 27) fingers crossed it will happen and all the worry and fears you have will be a distant memory. Good luck xxx

There is always hope.

My GP tried to conceive for years, went through IVF several times and after giving up hope fell pregnant naturally at 40.

As long as you've had all the recommended tests to make sure there is nothing underlying then there is definitely hope.

Me and hubby were ttc for over 2 years, and I got to the point where I was getting desperate and wondered if it would ever happen for us. We had unexplained infertility too, its frustrating as you want answers. We had our first round of IVF in May and I got pregnant on my first transfer. I feel extremely lucky and im so glad that I went down the IVF route even though it was daunting at the time. Wishing you all the best xx

My husband & I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility, he has high quality sperm, apparently all in order my side.

For eight/nine years we tried everything, from kinesiology to Clomid, from visualisation to acupuncture to diet to Chinese meds to Naturopathy to Homeopathy, you name it, we tried it ALL. One month became two, became six, became a year, then more, until finally last year I realised how many years it had been, & that it really wasn't going to happen without more serious intervention. I was broken, I had reached the very, very end of my tether, I was an absolute mess.

Because we had left it so long, although I was still ovulating regularly, it was decided to opt for an egg donor. Our first round (a fresh round), ended in a chemical at seven weeks. Our second transfer (frozen), was performed roughly two months after the first, & I am now 12 weeks pregnant with twins.

I had honestly all but given up hope; although now in my (very) late 40's, my husband & I proof that there is always hope.

All the very best on your journey, keep the faith x
