What stage in your cycle should a FET transfer be done?

I think it depends on the protocol. I had a baseline scan the day my period started. Then rescanned after 10 days of tablets, then started gels alongside the tablets and implantation happened on day 19 of my cycle xo

Hi it does depend on your protocol. I went for a my review yesterday to talk about my FET which is my next round of IVF and I’m on a long protocol; so start my injections day 21 (15/08/2019) but don’t have my transfer until 3rd week of September 😞 - I was hoping it would be quicker so I don’t have to test while I’m away on holiday - but there you go! Xx

My clinic completely tailored my treatment to me. I don’t believe that protocols should be a “standard, done” rule! My stimulation was 18 days to make sure my follicles were at their very best before harvesting and my FET was done at the time my lining was perfect and my hormone levels were perfect, 4 days longer than the guidelines suggested! It was a tedious procedure of constant scanning and blood tests but I got pregnant 3/3 times! So there’s something to be said about making sure that your body is ready and not accepting following a protocol. Protocols should be just an outline of treatment, not a must! Hope this helps! Good luck x

Hi! Could I please ask what kind of blood work you had done to check your hormone levels?

That's really great info as I feel exactly the same as you. Everyone is different, so how can it just be 1 protocol or the other. If I can please ask what blood work you had & when you had the scans, as like you said, just want to make sure the transfer is being done at the right time. I have 5 embryos left, all 5 day blastocyst, my lining is always perfect & I am freaking myself out that it has failed once before due to timing x

Also should have mentioned, in my last round, I was never told to check for LH surge. I have seen so many posts that suggest other ladies have been told different. I just had a scan to check lining, nothing to check that I had ovulated x

Hi,

I had 2 mediated FETs. 1st - transfer was on cycle day 25; 2nd - transfer was on cycle day 23. Everyone is different. My clinic does a baseline scan on the beginning of the cycle. Then, a week or so later they re-check with scan + blood test. They adapt the dose of progynova (estrogen) and when the lining is OK you can start the progesterone. I did 5 days of progesterone and then transfer because my embryons were 5 days blastocysts.

6th day after ovulation or starting progesterone for 5 day embryos.

I had mine on day 16 of a semi medicated cycle. I started progynova on d1 on an increasing dose. I had scans and bloods (LH) on d5,8 and 11 and then started cyclogest on d12 (I think). They would have added in cetrotide if needed but didn’t want me having to buy if not needed. My clinic (one particular nurse) were great and she managed the cycle for me this time after a failed cycle and struggling with buserelin.
