The procedure went well. Very fast! They got plenty of eggs from me. The consultant was really pleased with how it went.

The current Hfea guidelines say that having over 20 follicles means clinics have to be careful about risk of OHSS so that women don't end up in hospital during covid times.

Embryology said Husband's sperm was good quality and good motility. We'll know how many are mature enough and have fertilised tomorrow and then wait 5 days to find out how many made it to blastocyst stage.

The wee humans will then be frozen till my body is ready for a natural transfer. Hopefully not too long 🙏.

15 have now fertilised. We'll know in a couple of days how many are good enough quality to make it to day 5.

Thank you. Trying to stay hopeful and positive but know that so much can still go wrong at each stage. So hard it all being out of our control. 😖🤦🤞

I think the being out of control is the worst part for me, I so want to be able to DO something about my situation, but so often in this process we're just waiting.

I'm currently 5 days post 5 day FET, constantly symptom spotting, hopeful one minute, hopeless the next. I keep trying to tell myself to see it in terms of 'the long game', if this step doesn't go well, the next step still can etc.

I really do think 15 little embryos is wonderful news, but don't get me wrong I totally understand that doesn't stop us worrying our heads off.
