I know I only posted yesterday but you’ve all been amazing and I have so many questions...
Can anyone tell me the process of frozen embryo transfers? Do they give you more drugs first to build up the uterus lining? Do they take over your cycle again as with the stims?
Thank you! Any insight would be great.

I’ve just had my 1st FET, it’s so much easier than a fresh cycle.
You don’t have to do injections / egg collection or anything like that.
From day 1 of your period cycle I was taking x1 pill 3Xper day. Then a scan 2weeks later and started taking pessaries after the scan. Then on week 3 had the transfer. I then had my OTD 13DPT. It’s a lot less stressful and more straight forward (and less appointments). I wish you all the luck in the world x
Oh that’s great to hear! Thank you. I’m more worried about the transfer as we’ve had a few mmc’s so I really want that little one to stay in there. Glad to hear they will be pumping me full of drugs again 😬💖
with the 3pills per day I still have to take them now until my scan at 8weeks so maybe this will help reduce miscarriages??? I hope so! I think the consultants really do try to put us on the best medication to reduce as much as possible. Xx
Some places will want you to down regulate to take control of your cycle completely. If you are allowed to choose I wouldnt do this (I find that the hardest bit) and just start on estradiol tablets from day 2 of your cycle. The clinic will then introduce progesterone pessaries in prep for transfer. The other option is a completely natural cycle transfer so they look for ovulation and transfer after this in line with your natural hormones. Good luck.xx
I’ve had 2 different frozen cycles, in the first I down regulated using buserelin on day 21 then 2 weeks later took an increasing dose of progynova for 2 weeks then had my transfer the following week. In my second I just started an increasing dose of progynova on cycle day 1 then regular scans to ensure I didn’t ovulate, I had my transfer on day 17, I much preferred the second option! I always start cyclogest 5 days before transfer x
