Nervous for Endoscratch

Scared of doing the endoscratch tomorrow. Hoping everything runs smoothly. Any advice or whoever went through it what I can expect as far as the pain level. I have to go to work afterwards.

Hey, just wanted to send some reassurance. It really isn't that bad. I've had two. It's over very quickly and for about 10 secs it's really strong period type cramps. The very mild cramping settled completely after about 2 minutes. I think it's worth doing. It won't do any harm and could really help. my DH didn't come with me as he was working and doesn't have many holidays but I was fine in my own. Don't worry, it really is okay xxx

Thank you so much. It made me feel at ease. Can u tell me how did they do it. So do they put a long needle in?

Tbh I didn't ask how they did it and don't want to know. I can't even remember if they used a speculum. It's a trial of Catheter too to check how easy transfer will be. You'll be fine x

H, I agree with hope4usall, it really isn't that bad. Its uncomfortable but not unbearable and it's all over very quickly. I had no problems afterwards and went straight back to work too. You'll be absolutely fine, please dont worry x

Hey there, it’s only uncomfortable for a few seconds and then I felt a few period pains for a couple of hours later.

You’ll be fine 💕 xx

Thank you so much!

Hey I had a scratch for my 3rd cycle and it is uncomfortable but doesn't last long and afterwards felt a little achy for a while but took some paracetamol and all ok. Don't worry you will be absolutely fine. Good luck with your cycle 😊

In my experience I found them much easier and quicker when I had a full-ish bladder. Good luck. It’s over so quickly xx

I took some painkillers about 30 minutes before having it done, it wasn’t too bad at all just like a prolonged embryo transfer I thought! Some cramping afterwards but nothing you couldn’t cope with xx

I’ve had it 5x!! It’s absolutely fine. The worst bit for me is having the speculum inserted. But then they just put a long stick (catheter) into your womb and twirl it around for a few seconds. You get intense period like cramps but not for long then over the next couple of hours I had some mild cramping. I would say take 2 paracetamol 2 hours before then 2 paracetamol when you’re allowed 2 hours later. X
