Medication error. Help!

Hi

Eek! I've realized this morning that from Fri the 5th July in the evening I have taken half the dose of Utrogestan which are the progesterone pessaries, than I should. I should have taken 2x 200mg pessaries Friday evening and am and pm yesterday and only took Onex 200mg. I have taken the correct dose this morning. So that's 3 doses that have been half what they should have been. I've emailed Madrid to see what they say. Do I add an extra dose in the day for a few days to make it up?

At least Madrid now check progesterone levels at transfer and add an injection in if they are low.

I've been away camping since Fri and just forgot the correct dose. Feel like an idiot. How could I forget something so important and have I ruined my chances?xx

I would wait to hear what Madrid says, and not add extra doses. Since they will test it before the transfer, you already have a B-plan! Good luck with your transfer!

You'll be fine. They can always inject you with Lubion progesterone if needed on transfer. Apparently the progesterone Pessaries only stay in system 48 hours or so anyhow so keep taking the normal dose and I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy the camping trip!

Try not to worry too much & wait to hear from the clinic. We all seem to get different doses and I think it's more the number of days that you have been on progesterone rather than dose for most. You clinic can always test your levels when you are out there and up the dose if necessary.xx

Ohh! Yes wait to hear back from Madrid, I’m sure all will be fine now you’ve noticed and now taking the correct dose. As the others said there’s an injection if needed so make sure they check your levels before.

I was taking the wrong amount of buserelin injection for my last round 🙈 it happens! Hope you’ve had a lovely time camping xx

Thank you. Yeh I'm probably being hard on myself. At least they check my levels on day of transfer. X

I did something similar with my last round so I completely feel your panic! Try to stay calm though and don’t change your dose until you’ve heard from them. My clinic we’re fine about it and put my transfer back by a couple of days. Hope it all gets sorted out easily xx

I completely stuffed up my dose for nearly a week cos the pessaries in NZ we’re a different strength to the ones I bought in Spain and I didn’t check. I felt such an idiot but it made no difference to the outcome. X

Thank you for your comments. Madrid have told me to carry on with the correct dose and they will check bloods on day of transfer. Day of transfer is still this Wednesday x
