Hi ladies, we are switching to ivf now after iui did not work out. I tend to make a lot of follicles and am likely to get quite a few eggs on ec. We have to use ds as my husband was diagnosed with azoospermia. Now I was thinking if it makes sense to either try to fertilise everything we get or if it was better to hold onto a few eggs to see if fertilisation actually works. My two reasons for this would be that we do not know if it will work with this donor and that I am happier to discard eggs in the end if everything worked out than embies. Any thoughts on that? Did your clinic offer something similar? Thanks so much!

I cant really advise as Ive never heard of this before however I posted on another girls post today warning of egg freezing depending on age etc. Frozen embryos have much better chances than frozen eggs. There's also a reply from Diane the nurse on it too. Here is the link below.
Hi, I understand that blasts freeze better than eggs and have a better change of surviving the thaw.
We used DS too and I have a high AMH so the potential to make lots of eggs and so they controlled that with a short protocol. Even with that I got 10 eggs but only 1 of them made it to day 5 and to the freezer so I guess the initial number can be misleading.
Have you spoken to your clinic, I’m sure they will freeze eggs only if that’s your preference x
