6 week scan

I had my 6 week scan today. One small baby seen measuring 5 weeks 4 days but couldn’t see a yolk sac so got to go back next week. Anyone else had the same experience. Thanks

Hi Yorkshire. Sorry to hear this, but this is exactly why I always did scans at 7 weeks, to ensure little one is mature enough to see a heartbeat. Fingers crossed that all is well when they re scan you next week. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi. At 6 weeks everything is still small. At my first viability scan they could only confirm that the blastocyst implanted in the uterus. Only at the next scan, we could see the baby, yolk sac and baby’s heart beat. I am now 22 weeks pregnant.

Thanks for your replies been for another scan and sac still empty. No yolk so think it will not progress in a pregnancy and will end in a miscarriage. Have to go back next week for another scan but dr not hopeful. Heartbroken 😂
