I got my first BFP result on the 28th May, after a bleed and a clot 3 days later I was referred to the EPU. I have had hcg and progesterone blood tests and all have been good. I had an abdominal scan last Monday that revealed a gestational sac was present and advised to come back today as visibility was limited. Today the gestational sac has only grown slightly and no heartbeat was visible??? Again this was done via an abdominal scan not a tranvaginal scan as requested by my clinic in Cyprus. Has anyone ever had this happen? Based on my first day of my last period I am approximately 7 weeks and 2 days? Any suggestions or experience on similar situations would be greatly appreciated as I am not sure what to do at this point? Does anyone think a private transvaginal scan would be any different????

I totally agree with Vegemite. I had an internal scan today and although it takes them a little while to find things, when they did it was really clear. If you can go private for a scan I would x x
Thank you for your advise I have spoke with my clinic and they have said if I am comfortable with the sonographer just go for the transvaginal scan. xx
