Ivf round one - 10eggs with 7 fertilized, 2 blasts one one pgs normal

Ivf round two - 19 eggs, 7 fertilized, 1 blast zero pgs normal

We went ahead with the first round pgs normal and transferred it a few days ago. 12dpt today I got a bfn in hpt. My first ever transfer.. Since it was pgs normal I had high hopes. Otd is two days later. A bit devastated.

I am 36 and hubby is 39. We have a male factor.

I don't know what to do next since our round 2 was an utter failure.

Oh love, I’m sorry you’re going through this. A bfn is so painful, especially when like you said everything seemed right.

The result could still change by otd so try to keep the faith! Easier said than done I know, sending you hugs xx

So sorry, but as Solly-44 try to keep the faith. OTD is there for a reason ;)

Have you asked your clinic why such a lower number of embryo seems to reach blasto stage and be normal after PGS? Did you and your husband have karyotype test to run out issues on your side? This is what your consultant suggested us after a very disappointing first cycle. Did they discard mosaics as well?

The clinic unfortunately did nothing for my husband. Based in the advice I got from one of our forum friends we went to an andrologist and did a test for him. He has sperm count lower than a million and 50percent DNA frag. Other than that all other tests were normal including hormones and blood work. They have not discarded mosaics either

The standard answer is quality of egg and sperm influence embryos. I hate to hear that text book answer.

Unfortunately, as annoying as it is, it is often true. After I miscarried the only blasto from our six eggs, we had a lot of tests done, and the final answer was just that the embryo was not chromosomally normal, it happens since we are on the oldish side and sperm/egg quality can be an issue, try again and hope for the best.

Sad.

So sorry to hear about your mc.

I had a pgs test done and this one was supposed to be normal. Despite that I wonder how and why(😭
