Late period post failed ivf. Day 41.

Hello, my first cycle ended at egg collection as I only got two and neither fertilised. I got my post treatment bleed 10 days later and it lasted 4 days. My period was due 1st June and was excited to get moving with second round, however, I’m still waiting. 13 days late. I’m on day 41 of a normally very regular 28 day cycle. Arghhh. So frustrating. Did a test just to make sure and it was negative. Clinic just said it’s a waiting game, but has anyone experienced this? I read somewhere that someone never got theirs for 4 months which meant treatment was postponed all that time. Urghhhhhhhhh

Hi, yes my period was very late after my first cycle. try not to stress as this can also delay it. best of luck xx

Thank you for replying. Still no sign. Trying not to stress and am back at the gym after a couple of weeks break which feels good! So frustrating though. What a journey. All the best to you x

Hey lolly, so sorry this happened to you. The same happened to me in my first round - 7 eggs and not one fertilised. Hope your ok. 😘😘 My period came around 36 days after my post treatment bleed and I’m normally every 31 days Xxx

Thanks for replying! I’m doing ok. Ups and downs like everyone I’m sure. Worst feeling is feeling alone sometimes as my partner is more practical than emotional. Anyway just keen to get moving so will try and wait patiently for round two! All the best to you! X

My worst delay after a failed cycle was day 42/43. It is frustrating when you want to plan starting again. Hopefully its just around the corner!xx

The clinic never mentioned it could be delayed, so on holiday a week late, I did a test. Urgh. Phoned them when home and they said oh yes it’s just a waiting game! I’ve planned work diary around dates I presumed everything would happen, so everything back up in the air! Day 42 now. Feel ok, had cramps last week though and cried solidly days 37-40 so hopefully coming soon! Thanks for replying x

Hi … I’m going through similar situation. I’m on day 36 and no signs of periods. I usually get it in 27-28 days. Are you experiencing backache, occasional breast pain and nausea?
