Gonasi told to take just 5000 as trigger. Should I be worried?

Prayingforafamily profile image

Wondered if anyone else had been told to only take 5000 Gonasi instead of the 10000 dose? I am triggering tonight after 9 days of stims. This is my second cycle and last time I took 10000, just wondered if anyone knew why and if this could affect anything like egg maturity? So worried my clinic know something I don’t 😔. TIA

Hi, I took 5000 dose of Gonasi on Saturday. It’s my first time so didn’t know it was ‘low’ but still got 13 eggs on EC but won’t know how they have turned out till the morning. I triggered after 11 days of stims. I just trust that they know what they are talking about so I’m sure everything will be fine x

Aww thank you so much! Great news we got 12 fertilised overnight so only 1 down from collection. They have all gone in the embryoscope today so crossing fingers we have some healthy progress in the morning. How are you feeling after your trigger? X

Hi lovely, please don't worry. I only had 5000 too and I had 7 eggs collected, 5 fertilised and 2 made it to blasocyst. As a result I got my BFP 💃🏻 Quality not quantity 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Good luck xx
