Hello Everyone. Currently in the 2ww. My test date is Sunday 2nd June and my 30th Birthday is 1st June. We will be heading down to Cornwall for the weekend to celebrate my birthday with my brother and his partner. Do i still test Sunday morning being away? Or wait until Monday when we are home. My brother doesn't know we are currently going through ivf. Also, is it the pessaries that are making me tired and my boobs are really painful, even during the night when i roll over it wakes me up! Sorry, a little to much information but your advice would be much appreciated. x

The pessaries (progesterone) can make you very tired. I get fairly exhausted on it. Sore boobs can also be a side effect as well as a sign of early pregnancy so fingers crossed! Only you can decide how you would feel being away from home and around people who don’t know about your treatment and if you were to get a BFN?

If you feel you can wait another day until the Monday that may be the better option.

Good luck either way. I’m testing on the 6th June x

Thank you for your advice, it is much appreciated. I am normally not a very good sleeper but i have been KO by 10pm every night! We are really close to my brother but i didnt want the pressure of people knowing what stage we are at so kept that quiet. I could take the tests with me and see how i feel in the morning. My husband seems to think its a good idea doing it away from home being somewhere different! Hes a very positive person so has kept my spirits up when ive wanted to cry, cry some more or shout the house down. Is it ICIS you have had. I will be thinking of you on your test day. x

Your hubby sounds great and very supportive. Take them with you and see how you feel. Yes ours was ICSI as we’re using frozen donor sperm

I think you should bring the tests with you, and see how you are feeling on your OTD. Wishing you the best of luck :) x

Yes I did another one two days ago which was really strong :) I need to test again tomorrow for the clinic before they will book my scan. I'm still anxious even at this point, but ive stocked up on tests now to test every few days or so for peace of mind before my scan. Hope you have a wonderful birthday in Cornwall - I love it down there and get to visit my in-laws there a few times a year xxx

Tiredness and sore boobs can be from the progesterone but are also classic early pregnancy symptoms - that's what makes the waiting so hard!!! Have a lovely birthday, hopefully with the best present ever xxx

Sounds to me like you've got a fantastic supportive partner 😁 I would take the tests with you and see how you feel. Sore boobs and exhaustion could be the progesterone or pregnancy, just another added layer of mystery 😂x

Its really down to how you'll feel on the day! Difficult one, as if you get bad news will you be able to face your brother and his partner or will you just want to stay in bed?! I kind of just wanted to close the door and not see anyone after my failures. Take the tests with you and go with what you both think on the day. Good luck.xx

Hi, during my tww’s I prefer to keep the hope alive and pretend I’m pregnant by not testing before OTD. Given it’s your bday the day before I’d suggest holding out until official OTD and enjoy your bday knowing you may be pregnant. Happy 30th by the way!!
