My husband and I went through IVF with DE last month and it was BFN. I’m turning 40 this year so really gutted and feel like I’m running out of road. Fortunately that cycle gave us two Frosties so we will be be going for a FET soon but I’m not feeling too hopeful. We used our best embryo for the fresh cycle so why would the not so good ones work if the top quality one didn’t? Anyone been through something similar?
Our first DE cycle wasn't that great, the embryos showed lots of fragmentation and both fresh and FET failed. This cycle was much more promising but still our first fresh transfer failed with a 5AB. I feel my cycle was a little bit out of sync. For our next FET 5BB the consultant suggested we add injectable progesterone as well as pessaries. So far (9+5) this one has worked! It feels pretty unbelievable that it did happen.
Oh that’s fantastic, so pleased to hear it’s worked for you. Sounds like your experience is very similar to mine. Like you our first donor cycle wasn’t great, with lots of fragmentation and while second cycle looked better the fresh transfer failed. Your story has given me hope that it could still work for us, so thanks.
