Different symptoms after ET for different pregnancies?

I’m new to this community. I hope it’s ok to ask this question here.

I had my first round of IVF in 2017 (due to severe Male factor) and we were lucky enough to have my beautiful daughter result from the fresh transfer of our first cycle. We had some embies frozen from that cycle and I just had one (4AA blast) popped back in last Thursday, hoping for a little sibling for her. I am currently in the throws of the dreaded 2WW and going slightly mad! I’m obsessively googling (I know, I know!) but drawing a blank so wanted to ask if anyone here had experienced different symptoms after different IVF cycles which both resulted in a BFP?

After my fresh IVF cycle I had strong cramping for several days and implantation bleeding in the weeks before my BFP. This time, with the FET, apart from a few little twinges at 1dpt I have had no symptoms at all and I’m really struggling with the fact that I don’t feel like I did before so am assuming it’s bad news. I can find loads of info about how different women have different symptoms e.g. some have implantation breeding, some don’t, some have lots of symptoms, some have none, but not much about the same woman and different pregnancies. I know later on each pregnancy can be different and you can have morning sickness with one but not another, but I would love to hear from any ladies who have had 2 or more BFPs and know whether you had the same symptoms during the 2WW each time?

Hi, I’ve had 2 babies now via IVF and have been through 4 2wws in the process. Like you, my first fresh transfer was successful. At the time I don’t think I really knew what symptoms I was looking for so I may have had some that I missed but my main one was insomnia (started a couple of days after transfer and lasted the entire pregnancy). I don’t remember having any cramps or anything like that. All my other 3 rounds were frozen ones. My first was a chemical pregnancy, followed by a BFN, followed by my second BFP. I didn’t have insomnia on any of those rounds but on all 3 of those rounds I had mild uterus spasms - it felt like those really early days of baby kicking when it just feels like flutters. I think they were stronger on the two failed rounds than the successful one but they were definitely there for all 3. On my successful round I also had some spotting after I’d got my BFP (I tested early at something like 6dp5dt and the spotting started at 7 or 8dp5dt). On the 3 frozen rounds I also had nausea throughout the second half of the 2ww but I didn’t have any for my fresh cycle. Maybe it was the different meds that caused it?

So in answer to your question, yes I think symptoms of pregnancy differ for different pregnancies, even as early as the 2ww. So have hope that this cycle could have worked for you. Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experiences, both positive and negative. Congratulations on your babies It’s really helpful to hear that as I was starting to lose hope. I’ve had the twinges/very mild cramps today and yesterday too but nothing like with my fresh where they were very strong. I shall keep my fingers crossed.
