Hi I wondered if someone could provide timeline advise on a frozen transfer? I’ve just had fresh embryo transfer which resulted in a bfn on 29th April I am devastated but want to get the ball rolling again ASAP. And would love to know timelines xx

Frozen embryo transfer info ?
Hi lovely. So sorry about your bfn, it's really tough. I had my first fresh cycle in January, it failed and I think I had a bleed by the end of Jan. I have just done a short protocol medicated FET (no down reg but nearly 3 weeks of lining prep) had transfer 9th April. I think clinics vary on how long they want you to wait. Mine were happy for me to start my FET with my first natural period and I got a bfp so although early days it seems to have been OK. Hope that helps, I know for me having something to move forward to helped me cope with the negative. X
I had a fresh cycle in the March and then went on to have an unmedicated FET the following June. So only a few months in between. I got pregnant after the FET so it was plenty of time. You should be able to have your FET in July-Aug providing there are no underlying issues.
Definitely understand wanting to get the ball rolling. Feels like once you're in the process of ivf it's all consuming!
Hi zoeann. WSo sorry to hear your fresh go has failed, and I hope you've got plenty of support just now. Usually you need to have a bleed, then more often than not you can start again on your next natural period. Clinics do work differently, but whatever yours chooses to do, they won't keep you waiting, I'm sure. Good luck! Diane
I started my medication for my first frozen transfer a week ago. I’m on Decapeptyl which lasts for 4 weeks then I start on progynova tablets and nasal spray for 14 day then I have a scan. Not as much as when you have ivf drugs. Think all clinics are different. X
