Hi everyone, been a long time since I was last on here. It's taken a few years to get over 2 failed attempts at IVF and alot of miscarriages but I'm starting to come round to the idea of trying again!!
I just wondered if anyone else has been tested for NK cells and if it has worked for anyone? It's a private test that my consultant recommended after my last miscarriage.

I’m sorry to read about your struggles and losses.
I’m having the NK cells test on Monday. I’ve had 3 bfn’s and have never been pregnant. I really hope the results come back positive so that there is a reason behind my implantation failure. Xx
Hi I have had 3 failed cycles and had NK cell testing. My results were normal. It was done in two biopsies for comparison. I had it down at Warwick. I think it’s worth it. Is it’s positive then can treat you. Good luck xx
I hope you don’t mind me replying to your message.
Can I ask if you got any answers to your 3 failed cycles? I’m dreading my results coming back normal. I need there to be a reason why our transfers haven’t worked and try and fix the problem. Xx
Hi, it is very frustrating not having an answer. Ours is unexplained. The only explanation they can give is possible poor egg quality due to my age. Even though I produce good numbers and have had a blasto. They say it could be the genetic quality. We decided not to test this further as you have to use a whole cycle on testing. And they don’t recommend it. So we feel our next option is DE. If we had generic testing and it was positive we’d have to go to DE anyway. Depending on how this cycle goes. Good luck with your NK cell testing. Hope you get some answers xx
Different consultants believe in different tests..the one I saw for recurrent miscarriages believes that NK blood tests are more consistent than the biopsies as the lining changes monthly...
There’s been ladies on here who have had the biopsies and have had results back showing that they have it, but others not.
Have they suggested karyotype blood testing for you both and Sperm Comet DNA for your other half? Might be worth looking into.
I have had the biopsies. My 1st biopsy came back below normal and my 2nd came back normal. I have also been tested for the C4M2 gene mutation which I tested positive for. If either partner is a carrier of the gene, it can affect implantation or cause miscarriage, so even if you as the woman (trying to conceive or who is pregnant) don't carry the gene, if your partner is a carrier, it can still cause implantation failure or cause miscarriage. If you have the NK cells test I hope you get some answers xx
HI there, yes, I had NK cells tested last summer at CRM Coventry - my levels were low so not the reason why the previous two embryos did not implant. I also had hysteroscopy - again nothing was wrong. I conceived via ICSI last Autumn and I am now 34 weeks pregnant. What made a huge difference is working, alongside the scientific bit, with naturopathic approach. Good luck in your future attempts. xx
