6 weeks pregnant and I just don’t feel it.

I’m 6 weeks today, I’m feeling really frightened and frustrated now, as the days are passing I’m actually feeling better 😢, I just have a terrible feeling that something is wrong. I’ve not got a peep of nausea, tiredness has got a lot better. All I’ve had is very mild heartburn. I just don’t feel like I’m having a baby at all. Surely my symptoms should be getting worse by now not better. My scan is a week today and my clinic doesn’t do beta. This is worse than the tww, I’m frightened il have the scan and there will be nothing there. My partner is feeling frustrated with me now as wel because I’m worrying so much :( but my anxiety is through the roof :(

Don't forget that we are all different. I felt just like you do, I was positive there would be nothing there as my symptoms were so mild. But they have come and gone throughout my first trimester. Do you have any other symptoms like painful breasts or tiredness?

I had painful breasts to begin with, now they’re not so sore either, that’s the only thing I had really that reassure me, I’ve had no aversions to food or queasiness. I did have some mild cramping the other day but that was one off. I just don’t feel pregnant. The only symptoms I have is that I’m really tearful and anxious. Slightly sore breasts, nothing else :(

Yeah, mine were like that. I just kept pressing against them to make sure. The first 6/7 weeks are the worst, you have had no official confirmation by means of an ultrasound. Just a test or 20 saying you're pregnant. I think those weeks were the hardest of my life in terms of anxiety. You have one more week to wait, then it gets slightly easier.

Symtoms come and go. Some people don't even have any! Try not to worry. If you have any heavy bleeding or cramps, contact your local EPU.

I'm 16 weeks and I don't feel any different either. I don't even have much of a bump yet.

Just relax and enjoy feeling normal. Morning sickness is bloody awful. Throwing up suddenly is not fun. The headaches are not much fun either. Nor the constipation and exhaustion! Chances are you'll start getting some symtoms soon so enjoy it while you have none!

hi just to reassure you i had a great pregnancy on my son no bad symptoms at all and he was a perfect birth and healthy.

On my first son I was vomiting, cramping! I felt really pregnant if you know what I mean, I’m just worried I’m having or will have a silent miscarriage, I know I shouldn’t wish to feel ill but the sickness did reassure me that everything was developing xx thank you for sharing with me xx

Try not to worry which is much easier said than done.

Every pregnancy will be different.

Symptoms will come & go this is normal. It is also normal for women to have little to no symptoms & have successful pregnancies ( my mother in law had no symptoms with any of her 3 pregnancies and she had 3 healthy sons) Sometimes symptoms don’t kick in till later & sometimes they ease off.

With both of my successful pregnancies ( my first my son) & this pregnancy I’m 34 weeks ( my daughter) all I had was sore boobs which did ease off, tiredness in the first trimester. Never had morning sickness with either. This pregnancy I’ve had terrible constipation in the first trimester ( but I have had lots of endo removed from my bowel so have lots of scar tissue so always have bad bowels🤦🏽‍♀️)

I used to worry as my symptoms came & went I became a serial tester 🤣

Apart from sore boobs & tiredness & missing period I didn’t feel pregnant!

If you are really struggling with the anxiety you can have either a private blood test to measure ( I think babybond do it for around £50) or a private scan which I think is around £80 & it might be worth it to put your mind at rest , you must do whatever you have to do. You & your precious baby are most important 🙂 xoxo

Just wanted to send some positive energy for you. Totally understandable that you're feeling anxious, this waiting is so hard and we try to read into everything and get ourselves so worked up. I truly hope everything is going fine in there and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed you get some good news next week xxx

Thank you everyone, I’m trying to keep calm, last week I felt the same like perhaps my symptoms will arrive at 6 weeks! I keep waiting for them to come 🙈 I should count myself lucky but a little bit of something would reassure me now xxx

It is so hard not to be anxious, we all wish we could turn that off. Everyone is completely different I have even read of people pregnant with twins that have had not symptoms. Try to take your mind off things by keeping busy, go for walks, read, I have started painting (am really crap at it) but helps me zone out. Take care. xxx

Up until our viability scan I was extremely anxious and frustrated with my lack of symptoms. Except for fatigue and the odd cramp from time to time I've had zero symptoms to date and I'm currently 11 +4 weeks. I was initially praying for nausea and sickness to give me some sort or reassurance that the pregnancy is progressing as it should but now I must admit I'm really grateful.

Take care of yourself and I know it's easier said than done but try to relax and do things that will take your mind off it. Xxx

It's understandable that you would feel this way. The early part is scary I was there too with my now 8 mth old little girl. Try and find things to relax you and spend time with friends or watch comedy. There is no reason this can't end with what you dream of and I'm a big believer in positivity 😊

I only got mild symptoms and ache in my pelvis and it was after week 7 that I got nauseated but it was like a sea sickness. I was very tired alot but I found comedies my salvation and you can watch it with your other half as he may be worried like you too but trying to keep it bottled up. X

Thank you everyone for the reassurance, my scan is in 5 days ! Not long now. I did feel queasy last night 🙈 I was a bit relieved ! I’ve been using the calm app to help xXxx

It’s so very difficult. I was the same when my symptoms went & came such a nervous wreck!!! You have no reason to think anything has gone wrong keep up the positivity🙂 Hopefully Monday will give you the reassurance you need. xoxo

Try to relax! My 'symptoms' went away at like 8 weeks, my boobs hurt loads then and stopped randomly! With my daughter I had no symptoms at all....

I had no symptoms either. I kept peeing on the clear blue digital to make sure the weeks were increasing but they don't take you past a certain point. You'll be fine. Keep counting down the days to the scan x

Good luck for your scan tomorrow. I’m 5.5 weeks and not feeling very much at all. Keep wondering if I imagined a positive test but too scared to do another one 🙈

Slightly tired and occasionally feel a tiny bit sick in the afternoon but nothing remarkable at all! Always feel tired anyway 😂

I wonder if it’s because our bodies have been raging with hormones anyway due to IVF. Haven’t felt normal for weeks!!

Xxx
