Early Testing

I'm currently in my 2ww, 5dp5dt, and I really want to test early as the wait is just killing me! I can't focus or do anything! When do most people think the earliest day you can test will be? How many days into your 2ww can a faint line show up by? Thanks

I had a positive on a first response early result test at 5dp5dt after my last transfer (although ended in mc) so it is possible. I know they tell us not to test early for good reason but I’ll be doing so again this time! Good luck x

Dont have the answer to your question but just wanted to wish you good luck! I'm a day behind you (6dp3dt) and my otd isn't until 9th April which seems so far away. I've never tested early, will see how long my will power lasts. Hope you get good news x

Hey hun my OTD is on 5 April...but my 13 wedding anniversary is 3 April ...I’m just thinking to test that day then waiting till 5th . I just want to know and get on with my everyday life . This waiting time is killing me 😔xx

I’m 6dp5dt as well and keep going from visualising being pregnant and feeling like I am to I’m definitely not.. today I had some quite uncomfortable cramps that felt a bit like period pain but I’m not sure if it’s in a different place to normal... slowly going out my mind!! My OTD is 6th April with a blood test at the hospital so this time next week we’ll know... don’t know how I’m going to get through this week!! Not sure if I can bring myself to test early - I was thinking about it but I asked a friends advise who’s been through ivf with success and failure and she said not to as she tested early once and it was negative but then when she went for official test it was a positive she couldn’t believe it. So they can give false readings.. It’s just so tough isn’t it? Try and distract yourself with doing lovely things and anything that makes you laugh to lighten the load a bit. Sending good vibes xx

Ps sorry if TMI but I’ve just been to the loo and there was a tiny bit of brown spotting on my knickers it wasn’t there last time I went and there was nothing when I wiped. I’ve never had spotting at this point before and I’ve been checking everyday hoping to see some as poss sign of implantation but now I have I’m worried it’s my period coming.... arghhhh 🤞🏻🤔🤯🙏🏻xx

Hi hun that sport is good sign ...I had that on day 6 or 7 with my second cycle. All way through specially last night before test I had like periods and pain ...and I had BFP . So fingers crossed for u hun xx

I would wait until at least day 8 or 9, I think the earliest I’ve ever tested is day 10 x

Hi hun if I test on 3 April that will be 10dp5dt . In my last two cycles I never test early but this one now is so hard not too ....every day feels like forever...😔 xx

So your OTD is 12 days after ET? I think mine is 11. That's strange because we both had a 5 day transfer. It's up to you, hold out if you can....xx

I ask my hubby this morning if we can do early test this Wednesday...(13 anniversary) ...he said yes if I want to . I’m scared..probably what I do I will just pee in little plastic they give me and I leave the rest to him ☺️ I don’t know if I can look it ...xx

Ok, that's great then. I hope you have a lovely anniversary present. Only 2 days to go then. I would use another testing kit and keep the one that the clinic gave you for your OTD. Fingers crossed 🤞 xx

I don’t know why but my clinic give me 2 tests so I got extra 😉but I will still buy first respond they can detect early pregnancy. Well hun that could be amazing anniversary or the worst one ...?Did your clinic give u any pregnancy test ? Xx

That nice of him . I’m gonna buy 2morrow one digital clear blue and first respond. I did have yesterday evening and little bit 2day very very light brown spotting not when I wipe when I put my progesterone and some just little on my liner. I have now and again like period pain but is for 15 to 20 min and is gone . How about u hun? How u feeling? Xx

My latest pregnancy I’ve tested as early as on 5dp5dt, and I think it was already showing very faint line, but it was very very faint one! Next day the line was already visible and could not be mistaken.

I’ve tested twice with my positive pregnancies on 6dp5dts and on that day I already been able to see strong line! My bfn cycles which shown on 6dp5dt bfn didn’t give me any faint positive even closer to testing day so with me I believe that if I tested positive early this is success and if not showing positive on day 6dp5dt this is bust!

But by all means each person is different and you might be able to show only later in tww.

I don't think it does neither, but some women here has said that FETs take longer to implant which I don't think it did for me. Good luck Hun!! Xxxx

I tested on 5dp5dt I was sure it hadn’t worked and the waiting and thinking were taking over. It was negative but 5 days later I have BFP, today is otd.

In a weird way I felt calmer once I’d tested but obviously it was too early for the real result. If you can wait I would. Good Luck xx
