ET tomorrow. What to eat? Does pineapple core really help?
I haven’t had IVF so cant comment on that ( I had 3 surgeries to treat endometriosis & clomid) But I ate pineapple in my last 2WW before I conceived ( I’m 30 weeks pregnant) . Did it make a difference? I can’t be totally sure because with mine as there were many factors which I won’t bore you with. But I felt it was worth trying just in case! Plus I like pineapple so wasn’t a sacrifice to me!!! If you feel it gives you a better chance go for it. There is some limited evidence to suggest the bromeliad is can help aid implantation as it is a blood thinner & is anti inflammatory; making it a less hostile environment for the embryo to implant.
Good luck with your transfer & 2ww hope your embryo finds a nice home to settle for 9 months 😍✨❤️ xoxo
Thanks Jess. I hope so too xx
Hi hun I wouldn’t eat pineapple or take aspirin us they thin your blood. Just better ask them 2morrow . Aha keep your feet warm so socks will be nice to wear and keep wearing at home . Plenty plenty water at least 2 to 3 litres a day . Just be careful what u eating...I would say eat like u was pregnant...meaning what pregnant woman should not eat 😉 Hun don’t do things u don’t feel doing xx I will thinking of u 2morrow . Update after please xx
Hi Lindt. Pineapple is a sort of anti-coagulant (prevents blood clotting), so good to have some each day. Adding my IVF diet for you too! Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid and Vitamin D! Good luck! Diane
Thank you so much for that list Diane! There's lots on there. I'm taking Pregnacare at the moment. Do you think that gives me enough Folic Acid and Vitamin D? Thanks xx
Hi Lindt. Check the label for its contents. You need•10 micrograms of vitamin D each day throughout your pregnancy - you should also carry on taking this after your baby is born if you breastfeed
•400 micrograms of folic acid each day – you should take this from before you are pregnant until you are 12 weeks pregnant . Hope that helps. Diane
